After Soccer Legends: The Head-to-Head, Penalty and Cup Games Worth Your Next Ten Minutes

Big heads and small pitches
Heads Arena: Soccer All Stars and Football Masters are the two games that play most like Soccer Legends — caricature footballers, arrow keys, a shoot key and a two-player mode. A Small World Cup 2 and Super Liquid Soccer take the same idea and replace the footballers with ragdolls and blobs, which turns the skill into a joke you both keep laughing at. Bumper Cars Soccer and Foosball are the other head-to-head picks: one is dodgems with a ball, the other is the pub table.

The penalty and free-kick games are the ones to open on a trackpad. Penalty Shooters 2 and Penalty Challenge are shootout brackets, Penalty Rivals is the duel version, and Euro Kick Tournament does it with the European nations. Free Kick Screamers and Flick Goal are about curl and dip over a wall, and the two Soccer Skills games — Champions League and Euro Cup — put the same set pieces in first person. Soccer Real is the 3D trainer that walks you through the swipe before it lets you loose.
Cups and careers
World Soccer Champions and Kix Dream Soccer are the full-pitch 3D games with a tournament or a squad to run, for when you want ninety minutes rather than ninety seconds. Foot Chinko is the odd one out: a football pinball machine with a world-cup bracket, and one of the best games on the site.
The same keys, a different ball
Basketball Legends and Basketball Stars are by MadPuffers, the studio that made Soccer Legends, and they use the same keyboard layout: arrows and W A S D, a shoot key, a special-move key and a two-player mode. If you have learned the supershot timing here, the Mega Dunk works the same way there.
